Not all clients who have had previous permanent makeup procedure and who are requesting a change are good clients for this procedure.
What Is Saline Removal?
Saline solution is an effective way to lightening tattoos. However, it is a slower process than other treatments, but this method is popular because it is much safer. This service is done using the same traditional tattoo equipment (machine, needles, etc.) However, instead of pigment, a saline solution is implanted into the skin. This sterile solution is tattooed into the skin to make the skin reject the pigment.
The procedure works using osmosis and your body's natural healing process to lift pigment up to the surface. This method of removal decreases the chance of long lasting damage to your melanocytes (color-producing skin cells), and permanently affecting the integrity of the skin. This type of tattoo removal is safer and has fewer risks of hypo or hyperpigmentation, blistering, scarring which are more likely to occur when using laser tattoo removal.
Saline tattoo removal is relatively non-traumatic to the client with little to no downtime. Those who have had an old permanent cosmetic tattoo procedure, a mistake, blurred, discolored or misshaped eyebrows can benefit from this procedure. The healing time is similar to initial pigmentation.
Clients should expect three to four procedures before they see some results. Clients must be realistic in their expectations, they should expect a lightening of the tattoo, not full removal. Many times it is only necessary to remove a small part of the color in order to get improvements to move forward with new eyebrows. This is why a consultation is necessary to determine what level or removal or lightening is best.

Results will vary depending on but not limited to:
• The client’s skin condition
• Health profile ability
• The ability to heal well
• The color of the pigment to be lightened
• The pigment placement
• The type of ink or pigment used
• Compliance with the aftercare instructions
Some tattoo lightening procedures will be more or less successful than others based on these factors. Once an acceptable amount of pigment is removed, you can opt for a new eyebrow procedure.
SALINE SOLUTION INGREDIENTS
All-natural Saline Pigment Removal Solution is made from the highest quality ingredients. It contains no chemicals and no acids.
Ingredients: Sterile Water, Sea Salt, Orange Flower Extract,
Lemon Extract in Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice,
Calendula Extract, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Sodium Benzoate,

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE REMOVAL PROCESS?
During Removal Procedure
You are provided topical anesthetic cream to be more comfortable.
You are provided with aftercare instructions.
Your home care products are provided for you at no extra charge. You will scab up in a few days and the pigment is pulled into the scab and will fall off with it.
During the procedure, the client should expect some minor bleeding and bruising. The treated area might be tender for a few days.
Fading will happen gradually.
AFTERCARE
What to do before and immediately after the procedure? Clients with special events, travel plans, or who work in an environment with the probability of high bacterial exposure should choose the right timing for the lightening procedure so aftercare instructions do not conflict with these activities or work schedules.
You must heal a minimum of 4-6 weeks between each removal sessions and 6 weeks before re-tattooing the area.
Keep the treated area dry.
Avoid exercising, swimming, sweating, gyms, high public traffic areas such as hotels, airports, grocery stores, etc.
Avoid contact with the procedural area directly with hands that have not been thoroughly washed.
For several hours, and in some instances longer, the wound may weep lymph blood and fluid. These fluids can be blotted off by applying pressure (no rubbing) with a clean paper towel or tissue.
The procedural area should be cleaned with a gentle product such as Cetaphil, Neutrogena or Cerave (gentle products without fragrance, acidic ingredients)
Topical cosmetics may not be applied over the procedural area to diffuse or hide the appearance of the wound. Cosmetics may contain ingredients that are contraindicated to healing wounds, may contain bacteria.
Keep the tattoo lightened area dry when bathing. This is more difficult for body art tattoos. While showering, people who have had cosmetic tattoos lightened may turn their back to the shower spray and gently blot off any moisture with a paper towel.
Under no circumstances should the crusts that develop over the wound be removed.
