Is Scar Removal an Effortless Procedure? 

In fact, older scars are often easier to remove compared to newer ones, which may require more sessions for effective removal. However, suitability for scar removal varies, and the best way to determine if you’re a good candidate is by scheduling a consultation. 

In the assessment of a scar for corrective micropigmentation, the origin of the scar is less significant than its appearance and texture.

What is the Ideal Appearance and Texture for My Scar?

Scars can vary in texture, with some being raised, creating a lumpy and bumpy sensation, indicative of scar tissue formation. For optimal results in our work, it may be necessary for the scar to undergo further smoothing or healing processes before the application of permanent makeup color can be considered. This step ensures that the camouflage blends seamlessly with your natural skin tone, achieving the most aesthetically pleasing outcome.

Is Everyone A Good Candidate For Scar Camouflage?

Not everyone is a good candidate for scar camouflage. Patients with keloid problems or who have developed a raised scar after surgery or a previous tattoo may not be good candidates for this procedure. Patients with prior camouflages with scarring. Patients with active infections should wait until the infection has cleared before seeking treatment. Patients requesting areola and scar tissue tattooing after breast surgery will need to obtain your breast surgeon's approval before having the camouflage procedure. 

What Scar Removal Options are Available in the Industry? 

Laser removal involves using a powerful beam of light energy that targets the skin, eliminating the outer layer (epidermis) while heating the underlying layer (dermis). This process can lead to blistering and exposes the skin to intense, unnatural light, which can be detrimental and potentially age the skin prematurely. The heat generated by the laser may cause peeling and blistering, posing a risk of additional scarring. Such effects are not conducive to maintaining healthy skin.

Due to these concerns, FabULash does not provide Laser scar removal services. There are no laser treatments available at the FabULash studio.

Instead, FabULash specializes in permanent makeup solutions designed to conceal scars.
