DOES IT HURT?
As a breast cancer survivor, if you’re looking at getting an areola tattoo, pain may not be a concern. It’s extremely common for mastectomy surgery to lead to breast numbness. Any surgery causes nerve damage and reduced sensation.
During a micropigmentation procedure, you may experience tingling or feel uncomfortable. If you have an implant, you may feel it vibrate throughout the micropigmentation process. If you never had breast surgery, and are opting for an aesthetic areola tattoo, then you could experience pain due to the sensitivity of this area.
WHAT IS THE AREOLA REPIGMENTATION PROCEDURE OR PROCESS?
After cleaning the area, and applying numbing cream to minimize the discomfort, our skilled artist will carefully apply pigmented ink to the top layer of the skin. This process creates a lasting areola image. The artist will blend and feather the colors to achieve a realistic look, ensuring the new areola or nipple matches or enhance your natural appearance.
The artist's skills allow them to either recreate an areola and/or nipple where one was missing or adjust the existing shape and color. Areola repigmentation enhances the appearance of the nipple and areola using specially selected pigment colors. In some cases. the procedure can recolor the nipple and areola if the pigmentation has faded over time.
